its ilynne!! except she's officially a part of the pokespe version!! ive actually drawn her in the past because i was interested in emmet, but after reading the bw2 chapter - i decided to add that she is workin for interpol alongside looker and blake (which makes them her superiors) and they have a major dynamic together as a trio! consider them as a found family~ (looker and ilynne have a very friendly dynamic, he's an uncle figure to her) emmet and ilynne are a subplot romance which is mostly lighthearted. the first drawing is recent, the others are kinda old whehehe

ilynne is a journalist who became a secret agent playing double identity with blake, playing as his "mother" and him as a student in aspertia's trainer school. looker found her to be a good conversationalist (+ she interviews people who chooses to "release" their 'mons) and she is also very keen on the whereabouts of team plasma. he persuades her into joining which will help her get more scoop as a reporter, and to help fight against plasma...

and possibly learn more about blake's upbringing, but who knows....

y'know i realized if there's one person who can roam around unova like a normal, unsuspicious person and have a connection with co.lress its lara for sure.... (@lovinglin) until blake catches the behavior AKJSDKAJEJAKJKDA

might be how long ago i read bw2 but i picture blake as being very awkward with affection or even complimenting others beyond his ladies man facade in school, he did say he practiced how to have casual conversations in the manga so rip

do you think blake would snap at ilynne because she's overly complimenting him for a job well done and he thinks that much praise is unnecessary (nobody has ever treated him so sweetly before)

IT STILL BOGGLES ME HOW HE HANDLES THIS DOUBLE ACT SO WELL. he went from (places his jacket over a puddle to let a girl walk past) to (professional cop who doesn't give a second chance) AND I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH

see you're absolutely right on this because as much as blake has STUDIED everything (aside from physical efforts), this man has never had hands-on experience with actual genuine conversation especially if he's not the one steering the conversation (and he's usually the one manipulating the conversation because the girls love him OR looker is just obedient to him as a high ranking officer)

ilynne PRIDES herself in talking to other people and getting to know them better. that's what a journalist does, or at least, if she wants genuine data - she has to talk to the primary sources of it. and her vibes are never failing and she can adjust to any mood well

so when you put together two people who are good at ONE side of a task, it has interesting results when you mix it together and the fact he has to play child for her makes things difficult because ilynne has habits of mixing her "mother" persona with her real persona but that's really just her and her sweet personality...

Blake would NOT be used to this more or less uncomfortable (at first) because all the praises he gets is just a simple "good job" from the boss and that's it. but ilynne's is a somewhat inspirational one, adjectives being thrown at his direction and he doesn't know how to take it all because that's not how he works. he would definitely snap back at her to not do this but deep down he probably felt something flick because it made him whole but - he can't say that. they're on a mission y'know? 🤫
