Cleo stared from his treehouse down at the grass where he saw a stranger messing around with his plants. Well, they technically weren’t his because he hated gardening but they were by his treehouse!
It wasn’t like he was being subtle either, the top half of his body dangling over the railing with dark curls covering his face. Cleo was hoping she would notice him up there so he didn’t have to go down there instead. It wasn’t like his voice was strong enough to scream down without damage.

Even though Cleo was clearly staring, the kid didn't seem to be really acknowledging him. Actually, Ilyth'la appeared to not have even noticed him there, as she was too busy talking with the plants, deep into her play pretend world where the plants answered her and played with her...
Well, now if Cleo paid enough attention, it looked like those petunias and ivies had definitely grown bigger when the child commanded them to. She looked like she was five or six years old at most, deep dark skin just like the Manager's, and pitch-black hair that contrasted with her glowing red eyes. She looked almost human.
Almost.
"Grow grow grow grow! You ate a lot so now you have to give back to the sun by making more air and more leaves!"
