over the years it’s become easier for her to predict when the intruders will come, when they’ll pierce through the walls she had always thought as impenetrable and find their way into her home, into the very heart of her labyrinth, without care for its resident.
so to hear one now is strange and more than a little terrifying.
she doesn’t speak, just watches from the shadows for long moments, trying to judge what this person’s intent is. she’s alone, asterion knows that much, but WHY? they never come alone. they bring others. and there are always more.
