This quote is from one of my sources that discusses how materialism affects people internally. I am empathetic towards this quote. I feel this when I go out and buy something that I think is quite cool and others will think too. Yet, after I purchased it, I feel sort of empty, like "why did I just spend $20 on a shirt?" What does spending that money on an object help me as a person? I could have spent on hanging out with my friends and making memories that I will cherish forever.
However, I am too lazy to return it and keep it for myself hollaaa.
