That is super cool! Did you use a pattern or make it without a pattern? Cause either way is super amazing, but if you used a pattern, do you think maybe I could get a copy? Cause that's really cool!!

Well if it's a pattern you want here's what I did

The hat was done using a 5mm hook and I got the pattern from my friend's mom,

it starts with a chain of 8, *then skip the first two chains from the hook, do 6 double crochets, chain two and turn*

Repeat between * until the strip in a little bit shorter than the circumference of your head, like half an inch to an inch shorter, that way it has some grip to it

then unite the two ends using slip stitches, make sure you stitch on the side that you want to face in

then do 4yo stitches in every other stitch across the band, after that *crochet the 4yo stitches in between the previous row of puffs*, so that you get a checker board look

repeat between * until you get 14 rows of puffs

then comes the tricky part, this wasn't explained very well to me but for the following rows you'll need to do 4 4yo stitches skip a stitch then do *five 4yo stitches skip a stitch* keeping doing * all the way around for that row, the next row is the same thing but you start with 3 4yo stitches then skip a stitch *do 4 4yo stitches and skip a stitch* repeat * all the way around again

for the following rows you keep decreasing the factors

2 4yo, skip *3 4yo, skip* repeat * all way round 

1 4yo, skip *2 4yo, skip* repeat * all way round

then do a 4yo stitch in every other stitch until you finish the hat then bind it off with a slip stitch

to do the flower petals I used a 9mm hook and started with 12 chains *skip the first chain from the hook do 10 sc, this should leave one chain unfilled*, leave it that way turn then do 10 sc, chain two, turn, then repeat * and turn until you have 10 rows

if my directions are right you should get a 10x10 diamond shape, also you could make the petals smaller if you want by changing the number of chains and rows to do something half the size you'd start with 7 chains so you can end up with a 5x5 diamond.

I stitched my petals together with slip stitches, and just so everything looked good I hid the inner ends of the petals with a little yellow center crocheted with a 6mm hook

and since I didn't keep track of what I was doing with my leaf I don't have a pattern for that, sorry, but whatever you do for that make sure you finish by crocheting around the edge of the piece so it's uniform
