Here you’ll find mostly images I’ve found for the image team. The first task was to find images which portray irony.

SECOND TASK Afifa, Anca, Liselot, Lino, Robin: find inspiration for fun stills, images for next to articles, general images that fit the brand identity, think about shoot ideas for next to articles or ideas for images for social.

Irony description

Our visual identity mainly revolves around an ironic approach. We use images with a second layer. They carry a certain aesthetic which gives a feeling of elegant absurdism. The images are taken out of context because the different elements are clashing each other or because of the distortion within the image. This clash and deconstruction creates room for own interpretation. Some images will look uncomfortable but still comfortable.

These images could fit in the irony mood board really well in my opinion. In the end I had to choose four of them.

The image team asked me to finetune the irony mood board and add some colorful images, which fit the visually identity. Next to this I had to write a short description about the irony in our concept. How we interpret it.
