Imagine the following:

You are sitting down with your fictional comfort character, basking in their overall beauty and the love you have for them. They feel so close, so alive, so good. You remember all the conversations you had with them in your life, how they and their story soothed your mind and how you would drop everything to take away their pain, if only you could…

You tell them: „You are real to me!“

And your comfort character looks at you, fondness in their eyes, cocks their head to the side and smiles lovingly, adoringly and eternally grateful for your love.

They smile and answer: „You are real to me, too!“

Because in their world you are their imaginary friend, eternal supporter and lover (whatever lover means in that context for you) and they feel the same about you like you do about them. It’s mutual love and adoration!

So since human brains cant create faces is there a high chance that your imaginary friend is based of off a stranger or someone you know???

Always keep immigrants in your thoughts and prayers. Those who are considering crossing the border(s), those who have started their journey, and those who have made it to the other side. May their journey be a safe one. May they face no more violence. May they have food and water to get them through the long days and nights. And may they be able to find what/who they’re looking for when they arrive to the other side of the border.
