This is my progress over the years of drawing Vaxir.

The top image.. well. 2011. Art was a hobby I did traditionally. No references, just sat in a room drawing whenever I felt like it.

Two, three and four were 2012-2014ish. Traditional.

Then I got used to using a tablet and started looking up references to help me draw.

The digital pieces (images 5+) are when I picked up drawing Vaxir again. Due to her missing a cheek I just never drew her and preferred model editing instead of drawing. I rarely drew until 2016 when I started a class in college for English and just felt like drawing her half the time, so I would get home from my class at college and draw, draw, draw. 

It was only the past 12 months that I started branching out to drawing her whole body and damn, with her muscle mass it was HARD. But I’m learning.

I know I don’t post my own content very often but I just wanted to let the few people who do check this blog know that Promise was retired due to ongoing health problems earlier this week. She is now living in a retirement barn about an hour from here. Had a lot of fantastic firsts on this horse, she has earned the break. ❤️ I’ll try to get out and see her around her birthday but aside from that I won’t be posting more of her anymore, so I’ll probably be changing my blog name (and theme n stuff).
