    his recovery has been months in the making , but miraculous , nonetheless . there was a time when he’d lost most of his faith but if anything were to help nudge it back into place , that would be it . still though , he’s had a rough road . his leg is worse for wear and they told him when he awoke that he almost lost it . hell , it was touch and go with as badly as he was beaten . that was enough to shake him to his core , but this is joel . despite the side effects and symptoms of his injuries , he is still himself  .  

the doctor has him on his feet , its been over a month since the attack and he’s only been awake a week or so . after that they monitored him closely but he’s stubborn and staying down isn’t on his to do list . he’s going to hear too many groans and moans about how he should take it easy , but his mind and mentality are taking a number on him . he needs to get up and around before he goes crazy  . 

 he takes a deep , deep sigh taking that one step forward as she walks through the door , the pain rushes through him but he grits his teeth to keep it at bay . he grins at her words but there’s relief to know that she is concerned about him . ❝  i can’t believe yer surprised . takes more than THAT to keep me out of commission  .  ❞

LOL TRUE but did he have surgery while he's at it??? (im just imagining his folder saying 'camden parrish' just nbd hoping the sheriff overlooks that.) it seems like a stretch is what and i dont like the days of our lives plot twist-feel it gives because lol dead but not rly dead has been used so many times? but like if there's a legit viable way for it to work then what the hell right? im not the one writing the show (:
