So my headcanons for Tachi and Tanto are as follows:

Tachi is a big ol' lazybutt like Zoro and most the time can be found napping with him when it's possible

Tanto wants to be just as strong as Zoro is; he'll be caught a number of time trying to lift the heaviest of the swordman's weights because he thinks that's the best way to becoming stronger faster. Eventually Zoro just gives him his own kid-sized weights that aren't that heavy and tells Tanto they'll start with the small stuff first.

Both of them will try and help Luffy steal food from the kitchen

Both get along with Sabo pretty well.

Both look up to Ace and see him as the coolest big brother, which makes Ace super embarrassed whenever they tell him that.

Tanto thinks the 'marimo' name is kinds neat, ('cause he's proud of his green hair) and asks Zoro can that be his nickname now, much to the amusement of the rest of the crew (especially Sanji) and getting a 'wth' reaction from his dad.
