Hi! I was wondering what Spencer's main diet is?(: I have two green cheeks that I adore, but I'm having trouble with their eating habits. They get plenty of fruits and veggies. But for their main food, I've tried a few different things and I can't seem to find something that fits. Seeds seem to be their favorite, but they tend to pick out their favorites and I worry they aren't getting enough nutrients.

Hi!  :D  I'm pretty sure that seeds are EVERY bird's favorite, lol.  Spencer's main diet is a mix of Higgins' "Safflower Gold" seed blend (it has no sunflower seeds, which are very high in fat) and Higgins' "InTune" cockatiel/conure pellets (they are VERY fruity, and Spencer loves fruit).  These are what's available in his cage 24/7.  In addition, we supplement with fresh foods: every morning, our birds get a mix of half soaked bulgur wheat, half thawed frozen mixed vegetables (processed in a food processor to bird-bite-sized), with red pepper flakes added for flavor.  They also get no-sugar, whole-grain bread (we feed Silver Hill "The Big 16", but I don't know how available that is outside Colorado, where we live) and cooked, cooled brown rice for dinner, and Spencer is more than happy to help himself to whatever I'm eating (I'm a no-processed-foods 90% vegan, so most of what I eat is bird-safe--although of course he never gets chocolate, coffee, or avocado!).  We also feed him no-sugar-added dried fruit as treats--apple rings and banana chips are his favorites.

I didn’t see what else he added, and I actually am sorry if my comment seemed unnecessary on the post, I just found it irritating that somebody had said that because although yes people do die everyday, it just seemed rude because these are people who choose to risk their life to protect the country and yeah, I hope this response seemed decent enough.
