Impul car accessories.
I have been helping with research on the Impul 913CF steering wheel for someone who has one. They were available from 1987 through to 1990, 360mm diameter 330gram weight. These were not a carbon fiber wrap. They were made of carbon fiber. Other posts online list 10 built by an engineer at Boeing. Both of those i believe are erroneus. The 4 year availability suggests a lot more than 10 made. The person i am helping research tracked down the person where the Boeing reference originally came from. His father was a Boeing engineer in Japan doing work on carbon monocoques and he was given one of the Impul wheels. His reference was misquoted when put online. Translating some of the catalogue pages suggest that Impul got them from Momo like the rest of the 913 wheels but still to definitely confirm that. Translations of pics being added as captions. Where the translation says buckskin or backskin that is what alcantara translates as. So for a bit extra you could get the carbon fiber rim made less slippery.
Impul optional interior parts.
Impul's range of Momo steering wheels from 94-95. Number below the price in ¥ is the diameter. All leather trimmed with the exception of the 913 Special which was Alcantara.
Impul aero duct and steering wheels.
AERO DUCT
Brakes aren't there to stop you. Brakes exist to help you run faster than anyone else. Of course, this braking philosophy is also required in town use cars. So, Impul finally came up with a unique answer from among the extreme circuits. Impul's newly developed aero duct has been designed to thoroughly suppress the "fade phenomenon" in which overuse of the brakes causes the brake temperature to rise and the friction surface to harden, resulting in a significant drop in braking performance. success. Its uniqueness lies in Impul's bold idea of attaching the aero duct, a forced cooling device, directly to the front strut. As a result, we were able to ensure the absolute reliability and high braking ability required of a brake. The answer is always inside the circuit.
STEERING WHEEL
Driving work that brings out the maximum performance of the machine. This is born out of the exquisite position of the vehicle and the person as one. The steering position that produces Kazuyoshi Hoshino's sharp driving is 9:13. Therefore, a new steering wheel, named IMPUL913, is introduced. The sports-like form of the 3604 is wrapped in genuine Italian leather that will fit in your hand the more you use it, recreating the driving experience of the circuit. The casually embossed IMPUL913 engraving creates a new myth on the street.
Impul steering wheel line up from 2000 to 2001 catalogue. The 913 Expert 350mm leather wrapped wheels were available from at least 1994 but were dropped in 2002. Early versions were also available in silver spokes. At some point they may have been reinstated but being sold as a 913 Special. Those wood rimmed 4 spoke wheels with airbags are rare and expensive when they come up for sale. The 913 Fourth was available in this spec from 96/97 and dropped in 2005. Pre 1995 there was a different 913 Fourth design available.
