I'm doing this in my fifties. There was no transistion available when I needed it as a tween/teen. There was no non-binary transition available until a few years ago, when they opened a new center in Aalborg, that is working on accommodating us.
Asked doctor for referral to CKI (Center for KønsIdentitet) in Aalborg, in July 2023. They gave me a date for an initial meeting in August 2024. I have to wait for over a year for them to even consider whether to treat me.
I'm going to use this place to document the process, without getting into anything too personal, probably.
Doctors: “We don’t understand the point of letting every adult get tested at random, when the focus should be on tracking down the contacts of people, who have been tested positive.”
It’s so people can get tested before going on a weekend trip together my dude. At this point you can safely look a little further than your immediate medical perspective. Y’know. The mental health part of recovering from a pandemic.
But to be fair this puts some extreme stress on the lab people, who analyse the tests, so the government probably made this decision too quickly.
