why do you support sarah j. maas and all the white/het ships?

why do you spend your time or energy talking about something you clearly don’t like? there’s an anti tag full of people who feel the same, so you’ll have better luck talking to them about it. i’m not gonna argue about why i like a book series or any ship. i don’t owe you or anyone an explanation on why i like something?

that being said, just because i like her books, does not mean i support everything she does. or every white/het ship? honestly where did that even come from? i haven’t posted anything to provoke anyone into sending me a rude ask so i’m not sure why you chose me to send this to.

if you like a book does that mean you support every ship or character or decision of the author? absolutely not. i would love it if the books included more poc and lgbt+ characters, but i can’t change that. not every book i read is going to be perfect. there are gonna be problematic characters, or even questionable decisions by the author. but it’s not my book series. and i’m not going to apologize for liking the story or characters despite those flaws.

if you don’t like her books just…. don’t read them? and maybe don’t bother people who do?
