saw the new kanye doc in theatres and i honestly really liked it. i think it’ll have a great life on streaming services when it gets picked up.
if you don’t know kanye lore it does not explain anything, and it makes a lot of gestures that you won’t understand (e.g. showing virgil abloh in the preface, and later kanye yelling about how “they” killed virgil in the final part). but as a meditation on mental illness and celebrity it’s an extremely singular piece of media
also there’s a part where kanye is dressed like a blue cat and i have no fucking idea why and can’t find any video of what resulted from it
