As a child, perhaps because of the video (but who watched videos back then?), I believed this song was about aerobics. My dad, who knew better, spelled it out for me: “It’s about SEX, and that’s NOT APPROPRIATE.” I’d taped it off the radio using a portable cassette recorder, and he made me record something else over top of it to avoid further scarring my psyche.

Hilarious to think about how tame this song is compared to today’s Top 40.
