Missing Tyler right now... we got to see so much content from the bubble and then that fucker disappeared. I hope he’s resting and getting back to feeling better. I’m just imagining being his nurse and cooking him some delicious meals. Playing board games or some pool, long talks lying in bed, soaking in the hot tub together. Sigh...

I KNOW. We got so much content and poof...he’s gone.  Hopefully the dogs are taking good care of him. I would l o v e to take care of him. Watching tv (you would make him watch the bachelorette ok) and hot tub.oof..you two would make good use of that

camping out at the bau was less than fun

but hotch said that it was for your protection, and that it was unpleasant but necessary

you were being targeted by a domestic terrorist group, like garcia was by the dirt dozen

so you made the best of it, setting up the most comfortable arrangement possible in an empty bau office

you were laying down on the air mattress, crying softly

the last few weeks has been overwhelming, frustrating and you wanted nothing but to be home

you heard a familiar lopsided walk, and the creak of the door

“y/n?”

spencer poked his head in, it was nearly midnight you figured he was staying late for some paper work

“yeah” you sniffed and wiped the tear from your cheek

your eyes were swollen from crying, and spencer looked at you in concern

“hey it’s okay” he took his satchel off and sat next to the air mattress on the floor, you reached over onto his lap and cried into his shoulder

“i want to go home spence”

he rubbed your back

“i know, i know”

your eyes glossy with tears, you looked up at the man who had came to your comfort, and you asked the dumbest thing you could’ve, but in that moment of vulnerability, it’s what was right

“stay the night with me”

he looked at you, and around the room

your setup was less than favorable, but you had a king sized air mattress and enough blankets to go around

but more importantly you needed him there, and he saw that

“okay” he replied, as he took off his jacket and rested it on the chair

“thank you” you mumbled into his chest

no one was coming in tomorrow, so you two were good on that front. spencer began taking off his shoes and his tie, removing his belt in order to make his work clothes as comfortable as possible

your tears had dried, and you were laying on the left side of the mattress , and spencer came in on the right

his long curls fell on the sides of his face, his presence was oh so comforting to you

he turned and stared at you, and you returned the action

“we love you you know y/n, you’re so strong, you’re gonna make it through this”

“you guys give me too much credit, all i do is sleep on this mattress and cry”

he laughed “you’re going through much more than that y/n, you know that”

“i know, but can i feel you something spencer?”

“anything”

“i’m tired of being so strong, i’m tired of everyone being proud of me. truly, i don’t care about any of that anymore. i just want to feel normal, i want to live in my own house and shower in my own shower. i want to be able to step out fbi property and feel safe, my god even in this stupid building i don’t safe most of the time”

a tear rolled down your cheek

“i’m sorry y/n truly, if there’s ever anything i can do-“

“but that’s exactly it! you’re doing everything you can do. you have no idea much it means to me that you’re hear. laying with me on this shitty air mattress listening to me complain about this. and even more than that when you’re with my spencer, the bad guys go away, you make me feel safe”

“it’s my pleasure to listen to you talk, and to make you feel safe. i’m always here for that y/n. forever and always”

you nodded and buried your head in the blankets

spencer moved in closer, cradled your head on his chest, feeling your tears hit his button up

heyy wassup? i have a request, if that’s okay. could u do a spencer x reader in which reader and spencer flirt in a bar -like derek convinced him to go there but then he really enjoys reader’s company- and she goes away pretty early cuz she has a job interview. so like spencer is sad at work the day after, but he finds reader in the lift cuz she has an interview with hotch??? around season 10 pls. hope it’s okay. thank u in advance <3

“reading”

“i think your books will be okay without you for a night”

spencer rolled his eyes as derek dragged him into the local bar

“kid look, if you hate it that much you can leave, but who knows maybe you’ll enjoy yourself”

“doubtful, i don’t even want to think about the staggering amount of microorganisms on these-“

derek cut in “then dont”

he took a seat next to derek at the bar, sipping on his glass of water, watching morgan flirt with the girl beside him

“derek”

he nudged his side

“derek!”

“and that’s when i kicked down the door-, kid what?”

spencer hated this experience, but derek was having a good time, and the way he was drinking he was gonna need a ride home. so he sucked it up, and did the good friend move

“nevermind”

he turned around and went back to talking to the girl beside him

spencer was spacing out, thinking about the saturation of carbon dioxide in his seltzer

“could i get a beer?”

he heard a voice to the left of him

soon he felt her presence, radiating next to him on the adjacent stool as she took a sip of her beer

she sat there staring down the bar counter tops, pushing her hair behind her ear and softly mumbling to herself

she then met his eyes

“h-hi, i’m y/n”

“hello i’m spencer”

“spencer, british, unisex, meaning administrator”

“w-well yes indeed! it also means steward, and peaked in popularity in the late 90s”

she took another big gulp of her beer

“do we have similar lines of work or do you just know everything?”

“well, not everything but i do know quite a bit, like your name for example”

he rambled on about the traditional meanings of your name, which led to a discussion about personal stories behind your name, which led to talk about parents

“well my mother died when i was young, what does that same about me spencer?”

“abandonment issues possibly, statistically, the death of a parent usually has a pretty severe negative affect on someone, higher risk of short schooling and mental illness, but as far as i can see you seem very bright and successful, so i don’t think you follow the statistical trends”

“why thank you, well i do have a job interview tomorrow so i think i am on the trek to beating the statistics”

“that’s great! i’m sure with your area of expertise you’ll be a valuable asset to any job”

spencer was being a lot more forward than usual, but it just seemed so natural, so fun

“oh geez you’re gonna make me blush, you’re quite the intellect, setting up a stark expectation”

he chuckled softly, staring into her big eyes

she swiftly looked down at her watch

“well i’ve got to get going, the interview and everything, it was nice talking to you!”

she said as she grabbed her jacket and hopped off the stool

“you as well! i hope to see you again soon”

before spencer said that last part she was already out the door

“who was that?” derek spinner around in his stool

“y/n, she seems really sweet, i didn’t get her number though”

“y/n... why does that sound so familiar?”

the next day spencer rushed into work, hair un done and he missed a couple buttons on the cardigan

he walked into the elevator and repeatedly pressed the button

he was fixing his hair when the elevator stopped short

“what even”

he pressed the button of his desired floor once more, but a woman walked in

dressed in a matching pencil skirt and blazer combo, she said

“6th floor please”

spencer nodded, they had the same destination

he looked down at her

“y/n?”

“yes oh hi! spencer!”

“what are you doing here?”

“this is my interview! i have a meeting with agent hotchner”

“no way, i work here, i’m a profiler for the behavioral analysis unit”

“oh my goodness why didn’t you mention that! that’s so cool i’m interviewing to join your team!”

they continued to chat until they reached the 6th floor

“well good luck! you’ll do great”

“thank you! and here”

she shuffled through her bag and took out a post it and wrote her number on it

“i wasn’t going to let an opportunity fly by me twice”

the sound of the door unlocking

you turn around and see spencer come through the door, hanging up his bag and sweater on the coast rack

you turn around at him, cup of coffee in your hand, eye bags encasing your face

“hey why are you still up it’s-“

“where were you? you said you’d be home at 8!”

“you know how it is”

“do i? i feel like i’m becoming all too familiar with “how it is”

“look,”

he kicked his shoes off

“weather was bad, there was a mishap with some data, and i had paperwork to finish up”

“wow all those things and you still couldn’t find the time send a “running late” text?”

silence

“spencer it’s like this all the time! it’s always “i’ll be home at 8” it’s always “i miss you i can’t wait to be with you” how do you expect to believe any of that when you spend half your time all over the country, and the other half not communicating with me? why spencer why? i trust you to tell me the truth i trust you to communicate with me! i trusted you! and it seems like every week i’m waiting on this couch at un godly hour waiting and staring at the door wondering if you’re gonna walk through”

a tear fell down your cheek as spencer slammed the door to the bathroom, quickly turning on the shower

the silent treatment

right after you complained about lack of communication

spencer got out of the shower, headed straight for the couch, he felt bad

he knew he was in the the wrong but he was stubborn as hell, not willing to step on his pride quite yet

he sat down and looked at the table

about 4 cups of coffee, a few books, and a box of tissues

there were some crumpled up tissues in the trash can, presumably from your crying

you drank 4 cups of coffee just so you could see spencer walk through that door

he heard your light sniffs from the bed room, he got up off the couch and spotted you tucked in under the bed

“y/n?”

you turned your head more into the pillow, spencer sat on the edge of the bed

“i-i’m sorry”

you didn’t move a muscle

“i’m not used t-to this, i’m not used to being in a relationship. i’m not used to people worrying about me, not used to people giving a damn what time i walk through that door”

you turned toward him

“well then get used to it! because i do”

“i know, i know and i love you for that”

you sat up and wrapped your arms around his neck

“i promise darling. i promise”

the apartment is empty without spence

you in there all alone most of the day, staring at the ceiling, watching mindless tv

walking around the apartment, exploring (snooping) through spencer’s closet

“sweater vests after sweater vests my goodness”

you finally reached a cute little cardigan, red in color with large buttons running down the front

it was not so little on you, it draped almost off your shoulders and hit you mid thigh, to be fair spencer was much taller than you were

and the best part, it smelled like him, it smelt like falling asleep next to him, smelt like cuddling up with him on the couch, like resting your head on his shoulder

so you got into the habit

a t shirt there, a cardigan here spencer didn’t seem to notice nor care, until one day

“hey y/n have you seen my purple-“

he turned around, there you were purple cardigan over your jeans and t shirt combo

“okay now i know where half my wardrobe went”

you laughed, he stood in front of you, looking down at you in his sweater

“you look good in it, w-well i mean you look good always, but very much so right now”

you came in and hugged him, he buried his chin in your head

“you can keep it”

“really?”

“yeah i think i’d be doing the world a great disservice if i took that away from you”
