Looking for the ultimate beach incentive? It doesn't get any better than the breathtaking Maldives. We recently returned from a whirlwind visit to experience three of the best island resorts suitable for corporate incentive experiences.
With several direct non stop BA flights each week into Male, followed by a spectacular sea plane taxi to your island, the Maldives delivers the powerful 'wow' ingredient most event planners seek out.
Long gone are perceptions of a pure honeymoon destination. The islands are sprinkled with some of the finest hotels in the world with outstanding facilities and things to do.
Firstly, we sampled Kanuhura, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group. A 35 minute sea plane from Male, you're welcomed by management off the plane to a stunning 5 star resort of superb beach villas.
Next, onto Jumeirah Vitaveli .... the most accessible island with a short 20 minute speed boat transfer from Male. With an equal split of water villas and beach villas, the bedrooms are some of the most well equipped, luxurious rooms visited. With a good array of restaurants and facilities, the hotel is best suited for larger groups with the comfort of an international brand such as Jumeirah.
Finally, another sea plane and we touched down to a small gem. Another Leading Hotel of the World, Constance Halavelli. Whilst a small island, it offers a special USP for groups. It has the largest number of water villas - so perfect for the ultimate in water living. Each room has a spacious verandah and private plunge pool and steps into the Indian Ocean.
Beach parties, water activities, island adventures, dolphin trips, cocktail cruises are just a few of the leisurely highlights to enhance a spectacular incentive itinerary.
