One would think that Eimea and Inceres have a special connection, so how comes she never even appeared in the actual storyline? She's his direct grand-niece after all ... poor Inceres just doesn't have luck with relatives it seems.

Yes she and Inceres shares a special connection as I mentioned it on the Hikari-familytree (link). She wasn’t mentioned before, because, uhm yes, it’s not the time for her to appear yet? The reason for their special connection will be revealed along with the Inceres-plottwist (or later, because she is not directly a part of the plottwist) and it will be a flashback, since it’s not possible for her to appear in person any more. But she appeared on the Jubi-picture - she is the Hikari on the left side of the Hikari-Group ♥ oh and actually there is one scene were Inceres refers to her, but very subtil (chapter 35).
If Inceres where never locked away and then killed for that special reason by Hikaru, would you think that he would have survived the first war?

Uuuuh good question. I mean it doesn't matter for Inceres power if he is locked away or not (they are always enourmous, no matter what), so he would be strong either way. But because he was locked away he didn't learn to use his power in a actuall fight, so if he wouldn't have been locked away, maybe he would have learned it and thus be able to survive the first war. The chances for his survive would actually have been higher xD!
