soz if you've been asked this already, but when is it stated/implied/etc that lady is a victim of incest? that post is real in general btw

Arkham’s behaviour toward Lady, the way he acts in dmc3 is very, very indicative of an incestuous abuse. his overly sexual voice lines toward her and the way he physically treats her, is unmistakably a form of incestuous abuse. he toys with her, delights in tormenting her, and acts lecherous while he stabs her through the leg in the scene where they are in the tower. i’d even go as far as to say this is an allegory for blatant rape, but that can differ depending on your personal point of view. overall, i find it hard to believe there are some people who will actively deny this form of abuse, though i understand to some degree not really putting much thought into it in the first place.

strangely, i think this is because ‘creepy’ or ‘overbearing’ fathers in media are less alarming and people tend to overlook implications. people often miss signs of incest and sexual abuse.

[such a sweet girl… just like your mother] combined with everything else he’s done to her is just gross. very much rings about a million alarm bells to me. separately, maybe each instance could be overlooked as just an odd writing choice, but all together, it paints a very specific picture to me.

HELP NQKXKWKQXKEK another one caught in my net huh... Okay so! By luthorcest I guess we are going with Lionel/Lex, right? But trust me there is enough hints of Lionel/Clark Luthor AND Lionel/Tess also if you get to s10... That man simply loves having weird vibes with his children.

On the lionelex luthorcest front I pretty much have this interpretation that I see as the "canon" one and the one I cannot for the life of me turn off when watching Smallville - that Lionel, at least consciously, does not have any sexual feelings for Lex. He does, however, use sex, intimacy, and affection as a weapon, as we see pretty often with how he acts with Lex, and of course, knowing how Lex acts in bed and his rituals - which implies pretty much that he had him followed / that he hired or bought off the people Lex fucked to get that information (the sending explicitly photos of him fucking Lex's gf being the cherry on top here), which pretty much falls into emotional incest category - Lex also is very well acquainted with Lionel's tastes in women and how he seduces them. But again, I don't think this comes from any place where Lionel feels any sort of sexual attraction to Lex - this is about controlling him. Lionel, to me, very clearly loves and favors Lex up until he decides Clark is his true son and "abandons" Lex for this shiny new toy (although, to me, this was also planned, Lionel wanted Lex to feel rejected, because he takes immense pleasure into getting one above him and hurting him, esp after Lex puts him in jail) and it shows. All those actions, the following, the controlling, hurting and punishing Lex, come from Lionel's twisted form of love. He wants Lex to become his legacy, to rise above him as the true Luthor, to become him essentially, and Lex refuses to do so constantly and tries again and again to free himself from Lionel's shadow, which Lionel then punishes. It's not sexual in nature, but it may very well be, considering all the things he does to Lex, and how Lex essentially does not understand the concept of boundaries and I would even dare say how he simultaneously sees Clark as his brother while also having a pretty clear romantically ambiguous relationship with him -- Lex does not differentiate between one and the other because Lionel also does not, and he was raised by a man who pretty much never respected any boundaries regarding his sex life.

And then there is, of course, the World That Exists Inside My Mind and I will just nod my head when it's hinted at in fanfics or can see very easily happening, which is that once that line is crossed, Lionel *will* go all the way. That wouldn't happen naturally or would be something that he planned, but if Lionel is angry enough (Lionel, as much as he hates Lex for it, is a very emotionally driven man) or drunk enough, or the circumstances lead to it, Lionel will kiss Lex or even fuck him -- I do think tho that Lionel will either pretend it never happened or spun it to be Lex's fault somehow. He would get very very disgusted with himself tho, like I genuinely think Lionel loves Lex a lot -- as a son -- and the things he does with Lex canonically? He excuses himself by saying he's training Lex. This, though, would be crossing a line, it would be hurting Lex just for the sake of controlling and punishing him, and none of them would gain anything from it. My take is that this is most likely to happen at the end of s3 - middle s4, up until being inside Clark somehow heals something in Lionel (in fact, I would even go as far as to say that Shattered/Asylum is basically that, Lionel crosses a line by drugging Lex, and he can excuse it by telling himself that it is needed to keep Lex in line, Lex fights back and tries to escape, Lionel not only puts Lex through eletroshock therapy, he also keeps asking the guy doing it to up the voltage more and more, and while this scene is pretty much all about Clark watching the consequences of him failing to save someone, to the obsessed with Luthors like myself, you can see how horrified Lionel also looks when he does it, and then he soothes Lex as if Lex is a child, which is all very very disturbing). Of course, if this happens there's no other outcome that isn't Lex killing Lionel sooner or later, I do think Lex loves Lionel deeply and really really craves his affection, but I cannot see a world where Lex is even anywhere near consenting to something like that -- he does *not* want to fuck his father as much as he has this weird complex about marrying and having a children with his mother -- but well, Lex does canonically kill Lionel anyway so why not, right?

And then there is of course the world of freaks and perverts who just really really want to see Lionel and Lex fucking and I'm enough of a freak to enjoy it also -- which is the world that contains Lionel seducing Lex and seeing him as a wife and Lex letting it happen because he's starved for affection (that Lex would let any of it happens due to shock/fear and also a need for his father's affection is a given to me), or Lionel forcing Lex to dress like Lilian, or Lionel and Lex having a lovingly but extremely fucked up relationship that includes fucking and all that entails (and hey, there's even some very soft bottom Lionel luthorcest fics with that premise out there!).

i think the key is blocking tags so that stuff will show up less. like i had to block “marauders x reader” bc whenever id look for x reader fics for one of the marauders, a lot of it was poly stuff and that’s just not what i was looking for
