Lets Talk. About breaking the Taboo.
Dear readers, dear community, dear supporters,
When we formulated the idea of “WeWearBecauseWeCare” (at that time “Incontinencepride”) in 2016, we would never have guessed that this idea could get so much positive interest.
Even before we went online with our campaign, it was important to us to listen to people with weak bladders, to help them and to share our portfolio of experiences from various areas with you.
What began as a silent protest in public forums, as a denouncement of inadequate aids in nursing and an open ear for patient anger, slowly became more popular. We networked around the world, met carers and “carers”, met young, active patients who were in the middle of their lives.
Patients - yes, fellow human beings who tried to distinguish themselves clearly from all the clichés that were chewed over and over again in various forums, conventions and medical practices.
Questions and worries that we knew only too well suddenly became increasingly public:
"What if I only get prescribed unreliable aids?"
"What if I have a weak bladder despite a healthy bladder?"
"Which aids are really safe and which have only bought their place in the pharmacy and doctor's room?"
Away from shame, towards new self-confidence. That was and is our goal, and this goal can only be achieved through education and practical and realistic everyday design!
Away from the mist of empty promises and taboo demonizing of absorbent aids, towards an active, life-affirming care model!
We started the process (and saw how many other websites and companies adopted our slogans ;-), we networked with affected nurses, patients, advisors and administrators worldwide.
Because cost-cutting measures in incontinence care must not be carried out on the patient's back!
Because patients who opt for absorbent aids must not be silenced by “alternative 'diaper-free' concepts”!
Because everyone has the right to 100% safe, hygienic and humane incontinence-care!
We would like to thank you and cordially invite you to an exchange of ideas and thoughts in our newly designed incontinence forum

Lets take back control!
Lets take back the narrative!
Stay safe, dry and active!
