Here are a few of my shots of Jeff Goldblum at Walt Disney Television 2019 EMMY Award Post Party. Really, I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough of JEFF on the red carpet now that I see him as a Jazz musician making his bebop moves. I really like this floral behind him. It suits his vibe. Today is Jeff’s birthday. He’s 68. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jeff!!! @jeffgoldblum #jeffgoldblum #thefly #jarassicpark #indepdenceday #actor #leadingman #movieactor #jazzmusician #pianist #comedy #comedic #birthday #happybirthday #celebritybirthday #popmusic #celebrityphotographer #musicphotography #celebrityphotography #losangeles #photography #photographer #music #losangelesphotographer #losangelesphotography #photographerslife https://www.instagram.com/p/CGpu95tplvr/?igshid=pljnagcpoldf

Happy Independence Day!
Truth be told the majority of us black people don't really care about this holiday from a patriotic perspective only thing we care about is having a day off from work and turning up going to a barbecue and getting high and drunk although that is a problem but a lot of us conscious folk like to make it seem as if our black people are patriotic and running to the nation's capital to worship the country and as if we care about Benjamin Franklin and George Washington black people don't care about those motherfuckers or none of that shit we just like to have fun and it's a problem because we like to have fun way too much we have to be more militant and we have to stop being so naive when we give our time energy and money to these holidays we really lose because these are the times we supposed to be immobilizing training and studying but recognize who you fucking with this country was built on racism and if you got love for this country you bump your head because this country is a toxic environment for every person no matter what color you are there's so many fucked-up things about America I weren't run out of space writing this but how can America be the greatest country to you if you've never left America to see for yourself #indepdenceday #july4th #aphelion this corrupt system has successfully tricked you to hate your own you will put up in United States flag but you won't put up or RBG flag you won't put up a flag to acknowledge you're African descent even though you deal with it everyday but your will put up a United States flag because they have successfully mind fuck you into doing so and it's not even that you love your country you just do it because it's tradition
Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe! #IndepdenceDay 🇺🇸

This was supposed to be posted yesterday of course, but oops.... in·de·pend·ence /indəˈpendəns/ noun the fact or state of being independent.
Many of you know me and my stance on patriotism. My views do not mean that I do not appreciate the freedoms I have. I am truly thankful that I have the opportunity to learn and think objectively. But there is a difference in blind pride and the realisms of this world and I prefer to understand the psychological effect patriotism plays on a society.
Today I do celebrate with you (though many of you may not believe me), I celebrate that we are grown men and women that know how to be independent; that we not only look out for our own wellbeing but also the wellbeing of others in our community.
This means we need to think objectively and understand that our processes and systems evolve as does every other system, natural or manmade. Had our forefathers held onto antiquated ideas and promoted old tradition, we would have just fell under the structure of another ruler. Instead, they allowed our system to evolve, to support the needs of their modern beliefs.
Here is the catch, our community has grown and we are now a global community. Our concerns are the same concerns as the rest of the world. Survival is much different today than any other period in time. We have technology that can automate and energize. It allows communication from one end of the world to the other and even helps cross language boundaries. We have the means to distribute to the whole world. We have the resources and means to feed and shelter the world.
The question is, does that power/knowledge belong to the few or does it belong to the masses? The question is, does anyone own anything? We have the chance to go down in history as the generation that changes the world; we have the chance to be the forefathers that future generations talk about in their online/virtual history class, from Mumbai to Orlando to Tokyo and Ramadi and beyond.
When I celebrate today, it is not with the mindset that America is the best country on Earth. I celebrate that we are independent and have the opportunity to feel empowered and take ownership of making the changes our future generations will one day celebrate.
Happy Independence Day!
