Miss Americana is not just a movie about Taylor Swift. Its not just an american girls story. Its a story about us. Yes i am a swiftie so i could connect abt it... But that is not the only reason. I connect to it as girl of this era. Its a story explaining how a girl struggles when she is called FAT. its a story of a girl who is called a SLUT, A BITCH, with apparently no fault. Its a story about a girl who WANTS TO STAND UP AND VOICE HER OPINIONS. Its a story about a girl WHO WON OVER ALL THESE BACKSTABES AND PROVED TO THE WORLD THAT WE GIRLS ARE NO ONES PLAYTHING. She has always given me the power to stand up but still, some how i lacked courage. I WAS scared, till maybe yesterday even. Then when i saw the movie, i saw her cry, i saw her breakdown i saw her wanting to be at THE RIGHT PLACE IN HISTORY, & REACHING THERE TODAY. I-- I feel so fucking proud of her now. Most people think " Oh the are celebreties, what struggle do they have to do?" Trust me... Everyone has their own fight. Expectation burdens. And women place in industry, as she said... A woman has to constantly innovate to stay relevant. A woman has to fight for her existence. Her body matters more than her talent. A fat tummy means you are pregnant at 18. Honestly i would have not survived that situation. This movie is all about HOW SHE DID. AND YES SHE INSPIRES ME TO DO SO. SO I PROMISE MYSELF... I WILL NOT HIDE ANYTHING ABOUT ME ANYMORE, FEARING SYMPATHY. I WILL NOT STAY QUIET WHEN I FEEL I SHOULD SPEAK UP. AND JUST BECAUSE IM A GIRL, I WILL NOT LET ANYBODY, NOT EVEN ANOTHER FEMALE DICTATE ME. Just because im 24 doesnt mean i have to have a boyfriend or get married soon. Just because i dont have a boyfriend doesnt mean im not straight. ( yes i have heard these commnts from my friends as a tease n sometimes its not ok always. At an ahe found not being "a straight petson" as a wrong thing) And if someone does belong from the lgbqt community, i will support them. Wherever they find happines... They have a right to stay there. Im always opem with people doesnt mean im gonna tolerate your shit all the time. Oh and yeah, just bevause IM A GIRLS N I SWEAR DOESNT MAKE ME A SLUT EITHER. Anyway... All said n done... You all are gonna still take my rantings as a joke, laugh, tease me on the next phone call myb but just a reminder im gonna add you all in my cancelled list after that. And if you do prefer seeing certain bollywood movies which talks about women empowerment i find no reason for you not to see MISS AMERICANA.
