Continuing onward with the countdown to The Space Odditorium’s next release and my dissection of the cover I spent way too long on. I had a lot of fun coming up with my own brand of slushee. When I was a kid, my friends and I had a literally unhealthy relationship with these. We’d go and get one pretty much every day after school. We even made up a game that involved using all the cups we accumulated and of course some way of tackling and beating each other up. One such session infamously ended with my friend Craig sliding knee first through a glass door. He needed a lot of stitches, his dad was pissed. Also featured on this page is a terrible and embarrassingly inaccurate interpretation of Elvis. This is a lesson in how important references are. On his shoulders mini Teletubies and my wife’s pet rat in college, Lucy. Oh and center is my favorite neighborhood cat Baloo. Who I swear, if he could, would sing “The Bear Necessities” to me every time he walks with me as I walk through his block. And to commemorate my son learning to ride a bike, he requested to have himself riding a bike. The girl in the back was me running out of ideas for the day and drawing just a girl. #comicbookart #indiecomicbookart #comicart #characterdesign #characterart #coverart #drawingcomics #makingcomics #webcomics #tankgirl #gorillaz #indiecomics #comicartist #weirdcomics #weirdart #illustrationart #undergroundcomix #indiecomic #princess #catart https://www.instagram.com/p/CbApG3zrZAO/?utm_medium=tumblr
