Mortis 13 - Progress Update October 2025.
Hello everyone, been a while since we had a proper progress update, am I right? But in all seriousness, the game is still being worked on! I merely took a bit of a break, both because I had to work on my grades and because I had a whole month of vacation, which I spent with family. However, now I’m back to work on the project, even if now I will be going a little slower since I’m going to focus more on college, of course.
PROGRESS:
Writing: I have finally finished looking over the prologue script, and despite the DEMO I plan to release will only have the prologue, I began working on the chapter 1 script on the side. Sprites: I’ve begun working on the sprites. I have completed Verônica’s, Seo-Jun’s, Paislee’s, Owen’s, Naomi’s, Lorelai’s, Hanako’s, Gallagher’s, and Alisson’s sprites. Music: I already have some of the soundtrack ready, but it’s not the full thing! I finally found a musician to help (for the third time, but I’m sure this time it will work!) Other Assets: Bane has been doing a terrific job at working on some of the important cgs for the game, and I myself am working on assets like other cgs, backgrounds, and parts of the UI. (Sadly, the UI part is not looking promising that shit looks ass ☆(#××)).

In other news: — If things go well, I might have all the sprites finished by the end of October (including the side characters!), though I can’t make any promises as I do not want to rush the process. — I also still need to make the designs for the 2 side characters, though I doubt I’ll need a character sheet for them, as their role in the demo is so small they won’t appear ever again. — As for other game assets (music, art, etc). My goal is to get all of those done by the end of the year in order to begin work on the programming side of things. (But once again, I do warn this might change depending on time constraints.) — Also, don't forget to join our Discord server!
