INTIMIDATION PROMPTS
There is a feeling of dread that swells in his stomach. Something hasn’t been feeling right. No— nothing has been feeling right lately. The second he felt the closest to the Kaiba brothers, it all started to somewhat fade away. He doesn’t understand it. All the thoughts and inner monologues that happen in the back of his head are pointing in directions of doubt. He found a home, a new home. And made a promise to stay. But why does it feel like his presence isn’t as welcomed anymore? His heart swells for Seto but also breaks when the other distanced himself. And with Mokuba— he no longer has moments where he could relax and discuss topics they both like in common, or unwind by going on small trips outside. He wants to ask, to move in front of them and question what is going on. Is it something that he’s done? Or what is it? It hurts. He’s asking for a relief, for an escape from these intrusive thoughts.
And then Diva’s voice rings from the sidelines into his ears and he doesn’t comprehend what he’d said at first. Not himself…? Then who—… If it isn’t something that he’s done then—
Cold chills run down his spine and his pupils shrink when he realizes. Funny. He never saw Aigami before. But he was incorporated in the Kaiba brothers’ lives all of a sudden. He should have at least heard about him. And he knows well that the brothers don’t make friends that quickly. Is ‘friend’ even in their vocabulary—
Heart is thumping rapidly in his chest and he inhales silently. He brings his head up and firmly closes his eyes to mentally give himself the strength to proceed. Eyes abruptly open and glare daggers in Diva’s way. His gut feeling is telling him there’s trouble near. And he always trusts it.
How sad it is he’d gone as far as to feel guilty about Kaiba growing farther away from him where he found it difficult to reach. He blamed himself for leaving which lead to Kaiba’s distress. He’d even believed that Kaiba might not have trusted in him enough that he’d relapsed back into the cold figure that used to push him away back then.
His hands fold into tight fists. Teeth piercing into his lower lip as he lets out a gruff sound under his breath.
“I’m going to find the fly in the ointment and eliminate it.”
