she makes a show of looking offended by his look of disbelief --- as if he’s silently commenting that he doesn’t agree. she’d obviously been making a joke ( though when she’d started making corny ‘dad jokes’ is something she’ll have to revisit another time ) but the truth is she’s done a pretty damn good job of protecting them from various things thus far ---all things considered.

        A BROW LIFTED AT THE ELF. Although she had faith and believed everything happened for a reason, it was beyond her why Andraste herself had to give him the helping hand which set everything in motion. It had nothing to do with where he came from, but rather how he presented himself. Nonetheless, she’d trust him with her life. “ A ball ees z’e last place you would find me. She was here for one person and one person only. After getting news that the Evil Queen had her best friend Red had to rescue her. Of course that meant that Charming would be there and doing the same thing, but she was quicker and a wolf, it would have made things harder to be there with a second and having to look after him as well.

The armor slowed her down, but it was ten times easier to sneak inside dressed as one of the Queen’s many army men than padding down the hallways as a wolf or dressed in the red cloak. What the she wolf didn’t expect was another of her kind locked up in the cell just across from Snow. She was torn now with Charming somewhere here looking for Snow and now someone that could have been from her mother’s pack locked away. 

“Go.” She had turned back towards Snow pointing down the hallway before turning back towards the wolf. She took a long breath holding it as her fingers played with the keys she held. “What does she have you locked in her for?” Red was hesitant her fingers touching the bars between the two as she let the breath she held out in a small sigh.

The blind date with Henry had turned out to be something she found herself forever grateful for.  He wasn’t like other guys she had dated -- by any means.  He was properly nice, kind, and funny.  It also helped that the two of them shared so much in common -- from art to writing to the movies they loved.  

“Are you going any where for the holidays?”  She asked him, flopping down on the couch, bending her legs under her.  Lei would be staying put.  Yes, she had family, but it’s not like she would be going home to her parents house.

      she’s going to murder the alarm clock.   who set their alarm for sunday morning.  who even thought of that.  who did that.  of course she had married a fastidious man who enjoyed not only keeping order but the early morning hours.   with henry spending the weekend with regina,  and her parents on their fifteenth honeymoon.  sunday was hers to indulge.  and her husband set the god forsaken alarm.

     raising up her eyes narrow --- fingertips flexing.  magic.  she’s got it in her.  she’s done it before.  okay so maybe more harrowing events.  but she’s just gotten comfortable while using her spouse as her primary pillow.  not to mention it was the middle of winter in maine.  no way was she getting up to turn it off.  a few moments of concentration.... and the obnoxious ringing drowned off.  the screen of the clock filling with water.  a victorious smile on her lips as she nestled down against him.   truth be told he still looked asleep.  maybe he wouldn’t catch her killing the third alarm this month.

Unknown Sparks || Cordie & Leo

     This was … not what he expected when he showed her his true form. In his mind he was waiting for the yelling, the throwing of things, the disbelief that he was something other than a cat. Instead he was met with a kindness, an understanding and now a kiss.  While he couldn’t deny the sudden onset of sparks Leo slowly pulled from her with an arched brow.     “ … I’m sorry, you just threw me off with that for a second.”

Why?  Why had she kissed him?  She had gotten him some of Kelly’s old clothes to wear for now, set him up in the bathroom so he could take a shower, but she hadn’t been able to leave the room.  There was this draw to be near him.  If she would have thought for more than a second, she would have realized that she had felt the same comfort since Leo had shown up on her doorstep -- cat form and all.

“Don’t be sorry...I - I should be sorry.  I - I don’t know why I kissed you, but I -- I liked the way it felt.”  Her gaze turned downward for a moment, cheeks turning pink from blush.

“It’s...I feel connected to you, and I know it is cause I was in your head, and I’m sorry for that.  I - how long?  How - were you born a shifter?”  Cordie looked up at him, giving a smile.  “I’m...not human, too, but you knew that, didn’t you?”
