love yall to death but Sam fans are the most spoiled people in the entire fandom. I would do *anything* to get even a single fic every 6 months. i’ve been an active part of the fandom making things for years but tbh posts like yours make me bother why i even do it. you’re great and im assuming your post was a joke but damn tbh it just makes me wonder why folks aren’t more grateful with all the amazing content they do have.
Yeah, my post was entirely satirical. I do feel so lucky to have found the amazing people in this fandom, and I DO feel absolutely spoiled–
This wasn't a serious thing, and it definitely isn't grounds to spark any sort of debate.
The uncharted fandom is inherently small, for many reasons, I would assume. Age, target demographic, etc.. But as long as there are people loving it, it stays very much alive.
Now, idk who you are or what your content is like, given that this ask is anonymous, but I would venture to guess that people contributing to a (dying) fandom, just making content for themselves and their own enjoyment, is the thing keeping it going. If you're making it, I'm sure there are many people appreciating it. Even so, I get where you're coming from, and I understand the frustration.
I make content for myself, and I have a lot of fun with it. That's all I've done.
I am, of course, very grateful to have found such a wonderful fan base. If my post came off as "ungrateful" or unappreciative... it was never intended to do so. I'm so lucky to have stumbled into this.
And honestly, it's not that serious. I'm here for the hell of it. I think most of us are.
