Sara Carbonero answers questions after presenting her first jewelry collection ‘Agatha by Sara’ on November 12, 2015 in Madrid, Spain.
Journalists: How are you Sara?
Sara Carbonero: I am very happy in all areas of my life. Very happy in the new country, very adapted and projects already going around in my head. For example, this jewelry. Not that I've gotten to design, but thanks to the good relationship I have with Agatha for two years, I have reflected in a collection I would put myself or that I would like my gift was. For me, the lyrics mean a lot and encouraged us to make a minimalist and timeless thing that works for everyone.
J: What inspired you? SC: There were many friends who wanted to be a mom and I wanted to give them typical jewel with the initial of their child. Although it was so simple, it was not finding it. I believe that it is going to work, because a letter can have many different meanings for a person and is a good gift.
J: And do you have an upcoming initial intended? SC: No, no, no (laughs).
J: Did increasing the family has been a surprise? SC:Those things are not usually surprise. Well, sometimes, yes. But I'm just saying that it’s in a good time.
J: Were you surprised that the announcement of your pregnancy saw in 'Hola' when you still had not said anything? SC: Since few things had surprised me. Well, yes ... I thought it was not the time, but the work of journalists is that, and if they find out things, olé for them.
J: Do you prefer boy or girl? SC: I will not say anything yet. I prefer to wait a bit to talk about later. As it is something that has not gone for me, I still think it's not the time. Time will mark to discuss about boy or girl or names. But I'm very happy.
J: It seems that everything has adapted to be able to dump into your family life and other projects. SC: Yes, it has been good. It seems that all bad things come together, but also good. But there was nothing scheduled. Most of all because the trigger in me being in another country did not depend on me. But it is good to have other things, like Slow Love, which also manufacture textiles in Porto and I'm overseeing more production. Also, being a very short distance, I can do my interviews.
J: Do you miss work? SC:I miss writing and my co-workers, rather than TV.
J: What do you feel when you turn on the TV and see a companion instead of you? Would not scratch your head? SC: No, I like very much. In fact, we see the Spanish channels in Porto to feel a little closer. It is true that it makes me sad... Not sad but nostalgic, but it's nice at the same time. Everything is positive because I think it is not goodbye.
J: You have two years of absence. Do you plan exhaust it? SC: I do not know what will happen.
J:There has been talk that Iker intend to go to New York. SC: The truth is that I did not say that. We have to spend two years in Porto, sure. Then I have no idea.
J: But Iker has already said he would like to be in the Cosmos... SC: Perhaps the somewhat logical path is to test US after Europe.
J: Do you like New York as a city? SC: Man, who does not like. But I say nothing, it is clear.
J: What do you miss about Spain most of all? SC: The people. The family and the environment.
J: And the cultural agenda? SC: Do not believe, but there are also many things. On November 26 I want to go to the concert of Mariza, a very good fado singer. Then we have the Serralves Foundation, with gardens and a lovely museum. I'm trying to know everything, but I have not had much time.
J: Do you speak Portuguese? SC: 'Não todavia'. Little by little. I'm going to classes, because all the people there understood Castilian and it was the only way to really learn the language.
J: How is your day in Porto? SC: Depends on the day. I am with my child, go to class, I'm home, I read, I write the blog, I talk to my family ...
J: Are you taking advantage of cooking the most? SC: I'm starting. Not starting to cook, but starting to perfect it.
J: And what is your signature dish? SC:I do not have it. I do not know ... The cooked, maybe.
J: What do you like Porto? SC: I like a lot of things. It's a city with that decadent point, because it has very old parts. In fact, the area where we live is old and I really like the contrast. I love living near the sea, which is something I'd ever had. I like the character of the people, how humble they are and also cozy and quiet city. Everything is quiet.
J: Would you like it as a city for your child to grow in there? SC: Very much, because it has a lot of quality of life. The distances are short, no traffic jams and do not waste time in the car. My child has many parks, nature, sea ... It's very fine. Although he may seems small, he finds out abot the change. But he is always very cheerful and try to make relations with many children.
J: Has not he surprised with the change of language? SC: Yes, because repeated much in Castilian. I think the contrast Portuguese and English ...
J: In early January, Martin's second birthday. SC: Yes, the day 3. Time have flown.
J: How will you spend Christmas? Will you return home as nougat? SC: Yes of course. We'll have a few days, I do not know exactly how or when. But I think that the New Year us falls down there, because it match. In 31 we will celebrate with the families of the Spanish partners and we will be with friends.
J: What was the best thing about 2015? SC: The change. I see everything as positive.
J: Would you like to say something related to your family? SC: Well, I answer you. The good thing is making such a radical change and carry it as well. All that unites the family and makes me know myself a little more.
