I fucking hate it I'm tired of the scrolling of the depression of the not being able to stop of the opening an app for one thing then immediately getting side tracked doing something else for 45 minutes before realizing you never did the thing you meant to do when you opened the app. the addiction the lost attention span the guilt the grief of the time stolen from big tech companies. Knowing this started at such a young age for me and grieving my childhood (the one in which I was constantly pulled into a screen). The gradual loss of nuance that comes with constantly being swallowed by platforms that award bite-sized, fast paced content (everything is a fucking short nowadays and am i wrong to think that that's not the best thing?) The constant need to be entertained. Feeling trapped inside myself, literally internally screaming to get off the phone but not being able to? The distraction the distraction the distraction. When the fuck are we going to look back and think "why the hell did we live like that?" When are the days when this is going to be a distant memory, a shitty part of our history just please can it be soon.

is the infinite scrolling on the webbed site dashboard broken for anyone else?

i just had to repeatedly use that "?max_post_id=" feature, manually copy pasting post ids into it, because it just refused to load more posts after some point

If you feel yourself changing between different social medias just to scroll endlessly, like you don’t know what else to do. Please close your computer or phone for a bit, and remove yourself from them. Try to do something else entirely like just taking deep breaths and looking out of the window, go outside into something green, draw something (it does not matter what or how good it is), colour something, do yoga or have a dance party by yourself or something else. I’m not saying you cannot return later, you can. But times it’s just really good for us to do something else and get some stimuli. 🌸

Would anyone happen to know a theme that goes well with the dark academia or cottagecore aesthetic? I have a few specifications in mind: needs to be free, have endless scrolling, and I’d like to have lots of room for changing things like palette, font, columns, spacing, etc (though the last two aren’t as important). If you happen to know of any, could you please reply or leave a message in my inbox! It would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Anyone else annoyed as fuck that the Infinite Scrolling on Tumblr can’t be turned off now? 

I preferred having pages for multiple reasons.

1) It’s easier to find stuff (especially on your Likes page)

2) If your dashboard automatically refreshes when you have infinite scrolling, good luck in finding where you were before.

3) I don’t know about your guys’ computers but mine can’t take having 100+ posts loaded all at once without lagging and shit. It just gives up on loading the gifs after scrolling for like 3 minutes.

Not to mention now whenever I search something I have to manually change it to list form instead of block form EVERY SINGLE TIME.

It was so much better before, let me have my own choice of options please. i.e., list not block and pages NOT infinite scrolling.

It was fine before, If someone wanted Infinite scrolling they could leave it on, if they wanted the Block style posts when searching they could have it and only have to select it ONCE. Why take away the pages option? What good did that do anyone?

Was it a mistake made when adding the new palette feature? Will it be fixed? I HOPE SO

@staff​, if I wanted infinite/endless scrolling, I wouldn’t have turned it off. Please bring the option for paged scrolling back.
