MR MUNCH ACEO PROCESS PHOTO

For anyone curious about my "process" (yes, I do spend a lot of time sitting cross-legged on my bed, hippie style, lol) & this time I'm focusing on the ink portion of my "mixed media"... I almost always start by freehand drawing from a reference photo using some kind of ink (marker, ballpoint, or liquid alcohol ink) - this time it's an almost-depleted Sharpie. (I bend the hook back on the cap so I can easily find them!) I keep these on hand, because being almost out of ink means I can easily blend & get a "dry brush" effect. It's also fun, because - like a quill pen - you never know when it's going to spit out more ink than you expected, giving more "randomness"/"realness"/texture to your drawing.
