"Thank you Liz."
"A little code told me someone is back in Gotham, or is that just wishful thinking?" Liz smiled.
Anna couldn't contain the smile that stretched across her face.
"Liz!"
Drawing the younger girl into a hug, Anna realised just how much she'd missed the code breaker. It had been a long time since she'd seen anyone from the liberation.
A small package is left for Anna and the kids written on the packaging in sharpie it reads, "I miss you guys a lot! Anna I have some romance movies copied on disc for yah! And kids some disney movies have been put in here, even some that aren't out of theaters! Gosh I spoil you guys. But anyways be safe!!"
Anna smiles as she reads the note. Leave it to Liz to think of something like this. I really should invite her over to the new apartment soon, she thinks as she goes inside with the movies.
I'm coming home
The ride in had been hectic and Anna was glad when they got in the door of their new place. In the emails with John, he'd mentioned that they got a new home for them that was safe but somewhere they could still live alone.
The rooms were quickly snatched up; Angel and Sarah in one room, James and Ryan in another and Lily-Anne and Anna taking the last too rooms. The apartment wasn't as big as her former house but it was a lot nicer than the cave.
Once they were settled in, Anna asked James and Lily-Anne to make a shopping list so she could go out tomorrow. Each room had a double bed which meant she would have to go out and get two single beds instead. Other than that, the apartment was very well set up.
"I'm heading out to visit John and Bane. Try not to burn the place down." The last was said with a teasing smile, but there may have been an under tone of seriousness to it.
On her way out she took note of the security on the front door and realised that she would have to figure out a way for the other kids to get in when they weren't home.
Reaching the entrance of the cave, she took a moment to stroke the outside rock before calling out. "Hello? I'm back!"
((*Snuggles you*)) Liz keeps sending little emails to Anna and the kids just to let them know she is doing okay while back in Gotham.
Anna loves getting the emails from Liz. It's nice to be able to stay in touch with her family back in Gotham. She knows that she can't stay away from the city forever, but for now it's a nice break.
