Another major brand -- @IKEA -- makes a complete withdrawal from Russia, and urges other FMCGs to do so too. Which brands will be next to exit Russia, and how soon? 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇺🇦
#Repost@b4ukraine with @use.repost . . . 👏 A unit of @IKEA store operator Ingka Group has agreed to sell 14 "Mega" shopping centers in Russia. While the #IKEA furniture chain halted all retail and production operations in the country soon after its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ingka kept the separate "Mega" shopping malls open, selling clothes, groceries, and pharmaceuticals. Ingka Group's divestment from Russia completes IKEA's full exit from Russia. It also urges numerous fast-moving consumer goods companies (FMCGs), which often invoke essentiality as a justification for staying, to finally withdraw from the aggressor state.
