Annnyway...the scary movie I was watching was 'It' (the TV movie, not the theatrical release.) I once read that to take away your fear if something, acknowledge it, ridicule it, and you take its power away. It must not work with scary movies in the middle of the night, because, man, I was spooked! Finished this from last night. Why do I post my #sketches on Instagram? Well, usually when I'm done a #sketch I just turn the page and forget it. I don't learn anything. By posting it, it gives me a chance to look at it objectively and see my mistakes and where I can improve. It's like Twitter's inability to allow for editing - only after you hit tweet you see your spelling mistakes or misused word. That's like me with posting my drawings, it's like "ahhhh, the eyes are wrong!" "That lip is wrong!" "Where's the neck?!" It gives me a chance to step back and instead of giving myself a snarky comment and shoving it to the back of my head. I guess I'm learning to be self-critical instead of being self-defeating, if that make sense. Keep on practicing 👍 #InkStainCafe #art #fun #practice #pencil

Here was the #sketch I was working on last night. I once read that Elmore Leonard, a great novelist, would wake up two hours earlier so that he could work on his writing before he went to his job, and that always stuck with me. You gotta find time for your passions, to make time for the things that enrich your life.
