Michael was glad he caught the words before they were lost in the soft beats of silence that ensued after, they were just quiet enough for him to almost miss them. A sweet smile tugged at the corners of his lips to show off his dimple while his arms worked to pull the other towards him, nuzzling the junction between Shaun’s neck and shoulder when he was close enough. “All you had to do was get over here, dork.” It’s said warmly as Michael lifted his head to pepper gentle, quick kisses wherever he could get to.

“Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I’ll give it back.”

Meg smiled and stood on tip toe to press a kiss to his lips. “Okay, now I’d like it back,” she said as she pulled away, the smile still on her lips.

A lazy smile was offered along with a nod, Michael already being so close to sleep himself. He motioned for Shaun to come in, lifting part of the blanket he had laid over himself and patting the empty space on his bed. “’S fine by me. Everything alright?”

Now, Michael’s not happy. Then again, he usually isn’t under such odd circumstances. Arms are crossed over his chest and his feet anxiously tap at the floor ( always had a bad habit of that ) while he looked at the man stood in front of him, pale complexion lightly flushed from previous yelling. “Shaun. Do you have nothing to say for yourself? Can you say something to me that isn’t a lie, right now?”

“Need me to help you reach that?"

Meg was on her tippy toes struggling to reach the top shelf. She could just graze it with her fingers, and jumping did little to help. It must have been quite an amusing sight.

She stopped when she heard a voice, looking up at him. A small smile and a light blush graced her features. She hadn’t known he was watching. That was mildly embarrassing.

“Yes please,” Meg said with a nod.
