Ink suddenly came upon the two of them. He grabbed the child, and tookhim away from the bars. "Woah, hey, kiddo, what're you doing? That's dangerous, you know, she's not like your cat at home. What's your name, and where are your parents?" The child started to cry. "Oh, no, no, no, don't cry. It'll be alright." The boy wiped his eyes. "I'm Johnny... Mommy was here, then I went up to see the kitty, and she was gone." "Well, how about you take my hand, and we'll find your Mom, alright?"
“Child…please let me sleep.” The lioness mumbled tiredly. Just when Sekhmet was afraid she’d have to paw the kid’s hand away and force him to leave, another human’s scent appeared along with a familiar voice.
She glanced behind herself to spy Ink dragging the child away to safety (not like he was in any danger in the first place. But, live and let learn). Licking her pink nose, the lioness kept her ears pricked and eyes locked on Johnny as Ink chastised him and promised to find the child’s mother.
