Inner Monster
The thought that starts, at the back of your mind It creeps up, ever so slowly Developing over time. You know it's wrong, but can it also be right? Depth of a desire, roaming your soul like a thief in the night. My innermost desires, pinned undesirable by society So all alone, I embrace them quietly. You want what you cannot have, To live freely without judgement To speak out without punishment. I want you, and him. And him, and them. Temptation flows as easily as my words from a pen. I’ll do what I want, when I want As long as no one is watching. Making me feel like a monster.
