Innis Chonnel Castle is on an island in Loch Awe opposite the village of Dalavich. It's part of Kilchrenan and Dalavich parish, in Argyll.
The castle dates from the 11th century, and belonged to the ancestors of the Duke of Argyll who was the chief of Clan Campbell. It is now a ruin covered in heather. It was from here that the saying "It's a far cry to Lochow" came from, since they often launched attacks from this island.
