innocent is very disappointing. i don’t really care too much about historical accuracy in stories meant to be fictional, so that didn’t really bother me. The main problems are definitely how disjointed and rushed the narrative is, in a way that feels very unintentional. The characters are also not fantastic, with only the protagonist and Marie-Joseph getting really developed. it’s quite a shame, since the art is absolutely amazing, and there was definitely potential to expand more on some of the themes brought up in the beginning.
