@inquisitorialattainment:
“Thankfully for you, no.” Quarion responded curtly, instantly recognizing the bosmer he had been tasked to torture within a room not more than two fortnights ago. While the other mer had relented and given the necessary information before being released, the inquisitor did not regard him well, nor as someone of a trust-able persona.
The mer gave a small tilt of his head, an unimpressed frown imprinted on his lips.
“ If I was making an attempt to terrorize the populace there would be a few more detached heads being hung.” The altmer retorted with a small huff and an unfriendly halfsmile.
“ Unless it is your sense of bravery being offended by my presence, again.” Quarion added with a cold but brief grin, as he tapped a few metal covered fingers on the table at his side.
A mer with a quick tongue; he replied easily in kind.
“Honestly I don’t know what’s offended you more. My returned presence or the, unwelcome effect it seems to be having on you.” A self satisfied smirk where he looked the Inquisitor over and with some swift intent. Nemurah merely spoke with the desire to be trivial. Wishing to create some ease on the other’s part, where assuredly there were none.
Justiciars, Inquisitors. Creature’s of suspicion. It’s just their nature.
“I do enjoy your attitude. A shame our last meeting came to its end, though; it was rather too repetitive for my liking.”
It were true he had eventually cooperated but not before twisting and offering as much misinformation as he could get away with. Inquisitor’s had their ways but so did he.
“No reason why we can’t resume the pleasure of each others company.”
With that he moved to seat himself of his own volition. Much to the disapproving and somewhat fearful glances from other dining patrons. A high end establishment, many of the people present appeared wealthy. More than half, Altmeri or Imperial. Nemurah’s presence among them, and with his own riches on show, indeed; caused some stir. They whispered and frowned amongst themselves. Most inaudible and brief for fear, should an Inquisitor (of all people) catch their words.
Nemurah, upon hearing their displeasure; smiled. A cheshire and contended expression. Evidently he were enjoying his disturbance of the peace and pleased that his acquaintance’s reputation may be sullied, to boot.
“Or does social shame have too much of a hold on you?” I would hate to drive you from your table so, tell me. What does a mer like you drink? Aside from the blood of heretics.”
