yesterday my mom & i found a....... creature that looked like an octopus crab slug thing & we were at a complete loss thinking we discovered a new species

like WHAT???jdjg after goongling for a bit i figured out its a hag moth caterpillar, also known as.......... the monkey slug

fuck I hate Arkansas though. I love the whole swamp/forest witch aesthetic and southern gothic and whatever else but in reality, the feeling of mosquitoes tapping on and bouncing off my body as they flew around wildly legitimately made me ill

Bees huh? That's pretty cool. Maybe someday something will change and you can keep bees. I also feel you on the whole pets that don't need much interacting kind of thing. Have you ever thought about or kept any other types of insects? Any interest in them?

bees are one of my favorite animals next to deer! i used to keep spiders i caught myself when i was 5 but i...took very bad care of them. for some reason i thought spiders ate cotton balls soaked in coffee, and i kept them in matchboxes in a cookie tin. every morning i would soak cottonballs in coffee for them.

i haven't thought about keeping insects at all, mostly because tarantulas crawling on me sets me off even though i love tarantulas
