My Pyro fursona idea is now real 🥹🥹🥹

+Also some headcanons + mini infodump because I'm too lazy to put it on a separate post oughhh
(Flags: Genderfluid,Apagender,Pansexual,Objectum,Xenogender, Ambonec)
.He/She/They pronouns. Doesn't have a preference on which pronoun they're referred to, but they seem to stop responding to someone temporarily if the person uses too much of one pronoun.
.Isn't sure as to whether or not he wants to go by any gender labels, but feels a connection towards labels like genderfluid, apagender and ambonec gender expression wise.
.Doesn't understand why the concept of genders are taken so seriously. He only refers to himself with gender labels because labelling the way he experiences gender expression feels like an equivalent to wearing accessories.
.His gender expression confuses the living daylights out of everyone else (he's the only trans person besides the Medic. I headcanon that the Medic is secretly a transman, but comes out somewhere in the future eventually). Due to the confusion, Pyro is frequently asked about his gender. Pyro doesn't think much of his gender expression, so he very easily runs out of responses to give to questions he receives.
[Insert random Merc here]: "So...are you a boy?girl?a thing?"
Pyro: Mmph! *He points at a rainbow sticker on a wall*
[Insert random Merc here]: ...???
*Pyro points at the sticker again*
[Insert random Merc here]: Your gender is a rainbow???
Pyro: Mph! *He grins, the bells on his bracelet jingling as he does a thumbs up*
[Insert random Merc here]: Alrighty then! *They smile nervously*
.Isn't sure about the concept of sexualities either, but understands it more than gender, and has a basic understanding of the appeal towards it. Believes themselves to be pansexual, though they feel like the label doesn't quite fit.
.Has always been fond of inanimate objects. Keeps a collection of each object she's been intrigued by in her bedroom, containing some of the collections in a box so she can keep track of them all. Their favourite is of course balloonicorns, as well as various inflatables.
.Was overjoyed to find out about the existence of objectums. The idea of there being a community of people who appreciate objects just like how she does made her not only feel very seen, but extremely euphoric. It helped her a lot with self discovery, and encouraged to express her love for objects more. The other characters/mercs don't understand this whatsoever, and the chances of them fully understanding is low, but they try their hardest to accept it reguardless.
.Has shapeshifting abilities. Main form is their canon design. He designed himself a fursona at one point, and likes to turn into it whenever he's not busy with fighting on the battlefield with the others. Fursona species is a dog, balloonicorn ,cat and seal hybrid.
. Is fine with being the one that is different to everyone else , but is irritated by people who fear him or see him as an annoyance. Pyro is who he is. He has no sense of superiority or inferiority. He just exists, living in his own world in his mind.
.Maladaptively daydreams 24/7 , technically living two lives at once because of this. (<-My hc for why Pyro has Pyrovision)
.Doesn't remember his childhood at all. She assumes she was born, and then the universe decided to do a timeskip and make her miss her entire childhood "Because the universe is a big unfair meanie!!! :C" . Has spent the last few years redoing her childhood, often fluctuating between age regression and pup regression. By way of pup regression, she sees herself as a huge+fluffy caucasian shepherd.
.Occasionally slips out of age regression when she has a flashback to her past. She is incapable of identifying what a flashback is, so she thinks her brain is just giving her awful thoughts out of nowhere. When this occurs, she appears lifeless, eerily silent and "concerningly monotone" to the others. When out of everyone's sight, sitting outside rather than sitting in the breakroom, she can be heard sobbing from a distance.
.One time, the sobbing grew really loud, which terrified some, but everyone was too scared to go check on Pyro because she always keeps her flamethrower with her (Which has nothing to do with the situation, its just a habit of hers.)
.Has terrible social skills. Can only do the bare minimum. He has considered mirroring others, but such a thing seems too difficult to her because she dislikes the idea of "acting out of character".
.Breaks the laws of physics to eat. Somehow manages to take a bite out food they are given without taking their mask off. It's impossible to figure out how she does it as its a blink and you'll miss it type thing.
.Semi verbal
(Will probably make a strawpage for these headcanons because why not)
Anywho, small infodump time :333
TF2 was quite an unexpected hyperfixation for me to gain considering my usual taste in fiction. But then there's Pyro. All it took was to see his character design, find out that he doesn't have a concretely set gender and how he's depicted in some sfm animations for me to be hooked IMMEDIATELY. Pyro kinda feels like a physical manifestation of my social awkwardness, which I find a lot of comfort in.
