what do you think about the implementation of weapon degradation in the new Zelda? asking because a lot of people seemed really upset about it.
I actually think it’s interesting, provided you can earn beefier weapons later in the game that don’t break easily and can be repaired, and I assume you can since it seems to be an evolution of Skyward Sword’s weapons system. It’s important to remember that everything we saw was from a very small and very early portion of the game, so Link’s weapons are bound to be less reliable early on. I like the emphasis that puts on being resourceful and staying on top of weapons management, which seem to be essential skills in this game, and to me, they’re welcome inclusions! Having to actually focus on keeping Link alive seems totally natural in a sprawling adventure game like this
