Klaus simply treats her the way he does (with complete and utter arrogance) because he doesn’t like it when people try to talk back to him, or think they’re better then him. And it doesn’t help the fact she’s Salvatore and his angst with the brothers only pass along to her.

Sophia was sitting in the living room of the Salvatore Boarding house. She wanted to visit the brothers, but obviously they weren´t here. She decided to wait and now she was bored. She was so bored, that she even took one of those old books and started reading. After a while, she heard someone approaching. "How old are these books?", she asked with a small frown, assuming it was Stefan or Damon. "If you´re Damon, no cocky remark about me reading these old books."
