My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw the Junon dress at the V&A’s Inside Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition. Designed by Christian Dior himself for the Fall 1949/50 collection, it is one of the house’s most recognised and exquisite gowns. The skirt of ombréed petals draws inspiration from the peacock - the sacred animal of the dress’s namesake 🦚💚💙💜🦚
