“Are you okay?”

Hero looked up through their rain-soaked fringe at the person in front of them. They sheltered under an umbrella and held a hand out to them.

Hero winced as they staggered to their feet. The stranger’s outstretched hand was in fact much-needed, as Hero lost their balance twice.

“Are you alright, Mx…?”

“Er, [Hero’s Name],” Hero said.

They pulled their trench coat tighter over their bloodied suit, concealed underneath.

“[Hero’s Name], you don’t look too well,” the stranger said, “can I call someone for you?”

“I, um…”

Hero got hit with a dizzy spell. The stranger was now supporting all of their weight, umbrella discarded to the wind.

“I’m so sorry!” Hero said as they tried to right themselves, “your umbrella-”

“It’s all right,” the stranger said, “here, come with me.”

They led Hero to a sleek, luxury vehicle. They nodded to the chauffer, who got out and opened the back door for them.

The stranger helped Hero inside and slid in next to them. The closing of the car door muffled the downpour outside.

The chauffer began to drive off. Hero watched the raindrops race each other down the window.

“So, hospital?” the stranger asked.

Hero took far too long to register the question. They jerked out of their trance and looked at them blankly.

“Hospital it is then,” the stranger smiled apologetically.

Hero nearly dozed off a few times. They woke up properly when the car sped right past the hospital and down the street. Hero’s brows furrowed. They stole a glance at their rescuer and saw the glint of a signet ring. It bore the insignia of the most infamous leader of the criminal underworld.

“Um,” Hero started, their voice going up an octave, “actually, my friend’s house is right down this street so…”

The stranger looked at them, still with that strange smile.

“Oh, Hero, I was hoping we could do this the easy way,” Supervillain sighed, “Henchman?”

Black, opaque screens covered the car windows. The outside world would not see them.

“Hero? I’m not Hero,” Hero lied, “I’m-”

“Shh, don’t lie to me, I don’t appreciate it,” Supervillain said, bringing something from inside their jacket, “and you’re hurt. I wouldn’t trust just any doctor with you.”

Hero’s movements were too sluggish to avoid the syringe. A drug went into their system before they could blink.

“P-please-”

“Shh, it’s going to be all right,” Supervillain said.

They pulled Hero close so that they were leaning against their shoulder.

“Go to sleep now, we’ll fix you right up.”

Hero could only let out an unintelligible whine before their body betrayed them and they fell asleep.

My (fictional) coat of Arms for Baldwin IV

I’ve procrastinated for far too long on posting these, because I am too obsessive about correctness, but imma explain the design and choices briefly, so that you do not take this as something *correct*. However, I think it is fair to not apply heraldic conventions and rules here, as they did not formally exist in his time. For example, technically the white (argent) and gold (or) should not go together, according to the rules, but again, these were not in place then. And the combo looks great so who cares.

I wanted to post them for heraldry day the other day, but it was all too hectic. You’ve seen it already as my pfp before, both in white and blue versions. :3

This first one is let’s say, the artistic, freeform emblem I have made for fun. The background is of a relief from Ani, Armenia—I simply really liked how it looked as a texture on this, even though of course, not something correct for heraldry. This and the lions are to represent his Armenian blood on both sides. However, these lions are Cilician, and I wanted to use something more from Armenia itself, like the leopard (Ani has a leopard), but could not find an adequate symbol that would fit this design. These lions do not fit it either, it is too crowded and random, but it was for fun :) They could be added outside, holding the shield, but hm….

It’s a design I made for him (and other Frankish Crusader kings) back in high school, but now done better, and not just on my notebook. Really simple ofc, just swapping the four crosses for fleurs de Lis 💛⚜️ I use it for some of my AUs/stories, like the others I have made for example for the Royal Lazarites!

He would use this as signet in HCW, for example, in letters, along with the cross of the Kingdom. But this is just as a fictional headcanon of mine ofc, to add some custom pizzazz 😅

I have many and more variations, including with flat colors, but for now I will post these.

CW: Branding, living weapon

Obsessed with the thought of living weapon whumpees being treated like actual weapons. Part of the purpose of a weapon is to look threatening and also, if it's such an important weapon, it needs to be correctly associated with the correct side.

Just.

Living weapons being obviously branded with their army's insignia, maybe multiple times. Maybe they have one on their shoulder. Maybe they have one on their upper chest. Maybe one is tattooed on the back of their neck or on their ankle. And it's on display, too. Either whumpee goes shirtless (who needs armor if you aren't going to take a hit), or their armor/clothing specifically shows off the insignia. Maybe They wear the insignia on both their skin and their armor.

How to create an insignia (with a lot of paint and a warlord)

I like to imagine it was not a straight forward process for any of the Megatrons to make it (if they even did) but I like to imagine that G1 just sat down with a bunch of paint and parchment trying to come up with something before getting distracted and doing something completely different than what he was supposed to do… and one of the Decepticons finding him:
