Edgar is applying to Bungou Academy, a prestigious educational institution ran by Japan’s great writer Natsume Soseki. After a nerve-wracking interview, he decides to go to the restroom, on the way there, he gets lost and meets a certain emerald eyed boy.

“Hah...That interview was really tense...I hope I did okay...” Mumbled Poe, who just exited the president’s office for his interview. The young man was currently in Bungou Academy and he was applying there so he can go to Bungou Academy for his high school years.
He suddenly felt the urge to pee and he hurriedly sped walked to his friend, Karl, who was also an applicant.
“Hey, Karl, Could you please look after my things? I’m going to the restroom real quick!” The brown haired male nodded
“Sure thing, Poe-kun”
“Thanks, i’ll be back” He ran to the nearest hallway and Karl suddenly realized
‘Wait, does he even know where the restrooms are??’

“Ugh...I just ran into a random hallway...Where am I??” Poe’s sweat dropped in worry as he looked above each door to look for the restroom sign but he couldn’t find it anywhere. The tall boy sighed and without looking where he was going, accidentally bumped into a student.
The two fell onto their butts on the floor and Poe quickly stood up and offered his hand
“I-I am so sorry! I didn’t mean t-” Before Poe could finish his sentence, the person already stood up
“The world’s greatest detective can stand up by himself” Said the boy, looking unbothered and bored and Poe just stared at him in confusion. The person was a student wearing a gakuran, he had messy brown hair and his eyes were covered by glasses.
“O-Okay..?” The boy started walking off but before he could leave the hallway, he turned around and took off his glasses. Poe felt all the oxygen from his lungs disappear as he looked into the other’s mesmerizing emerald eyes
His heart started beating faster and faster
He felt his face flush
He could feel even more sweat dripping from his neck and into his collar
“The name’s Edogawa Ranpo, the world’s greatest detective”
And that was a start of a beautiful friendship
