Nessie being absolutely zwooted on pain meds at the emergency vet this morning. (She’s mostly okay! Getting a little arthritis in her hip but looks like a soft tissue injury from tussling with the big orange dummy or trying to write a check her vertical leap could not cash. Four hours and a lot of money later, she’s got meds and strict rest instructions.)

Mao gets comfy out in the space I'm going to call the catio.

It's not a proper room, so calling it the cats' room hasn't been sitting right. Everyone here calls this space a balcony. No, really. My upstairs neighbors have an actual balcony. It's the only one for this building.

Anyway. I bought that chair almost six years ago. Used it for less than a year. It's been a cat place since, though their use waxes and wanes.

The chair's out there now because I bought a rocking chair, and I really don't have the space for two big chairs in the living room.

I was sweating it, working the last row. But I had enough yarn to finish the square. Yay! And yeah, the color really is that intense. (or maybe not? i've got all these different screens, and it varies so much!)

I am not quite sure why I bought a penguin knitting machine.

(might have something to do with not being happy with the bigger not-penguin knitting machine. which I think I had in mind making up hats for charity to burn through some yarn I bought and never used. la la la and so on)
