The team is heavily reliant on the play of Mike Conley who does not appear to have lost a step even with all the injuries he has battled through over the years. Someone who has lost a step for them is Marc Gasol. While he can still contribute in spurts he is no longer the defensive player of the year presence he was previously and his playmaking role has certainly been reduced. Golden State appear revitalized and for some reason extremely motivated in the regular season. Perhaps this is due to how they performed down the stretch last season and they realize they need to build good habits all season. They look this good and they haven’t even played a game with their biggest offseason acquisition Demarcus Cousins. Cousins may actually hurt them rather than help them with the form they are in. The should comfortably win the game here with Memphis on the back to back and with no team appearing to have the personnel to slow them down. A 14 point line is a lot to cover with this Memphis defense so we have the Grizzlies covering here. For the total points in this game we like the over at 220.5. The Warriors have been putting up historic scoring numbers to start the season and with the Grizzlies on the back to back they should put up little resistance.
