It is a very long story how I ended up in this sleazy motel, but something went wrong with my GPS and it ended up taking me 3 hours off my route. I ended up in Hondo instead of Junction. Though Hondo is a really nice place, they only have two motels: a good hotel in a really ugly old Motel and of course the good Motel was completely booked up so guess where I am at for the night
Yeah....
I didn't even take my bags in because I'm not taking off my clothes or my socks I'm just crawling under the covers and going to bed. Carpet looks like it could be infested with all manner of things and the room smells like an ashtray.
But I can't lie: green is my favorite color, and the institutional green of the walls is actually kind of cool. Reminds me of a motel I stayed in when I was 21 years old driving to Austin for the first time: many many moons ago.๐๐๐๐ ๐
And of course the best thing is a railroad track runs right through town I've already gotten a few photos that I'm trying to clean up a little bit before I post and across from the railroad track is a Whataburger which we do not have at home and that is where I'm going to have breakfast tomorrow before I set out on my journey home..
Hopefully I can eat breakfast and watch a few trains go through and take some more graffiti pictures before I go.
